This Dream, Last Night..

In this dream, last night,

A cry was lost unseen…

In tears, my path was blurred,

Each step was wrongly turned…

My breath.. stolen away,

The hollow air was choked..

No ground I felt beneath,

Silence - deeply breathed…

So tried to reach out,

And stairs is where we met..

Tears, if we call them still,

Only made the floors wet…

Two souls, drowned low,

No life was ever found..

A castle built on faith,

Only ruins were left crying..

Praying, that you are well,

You are, just who will tell..

The room feels full, and hollow still,

That laughter echoes, soft and shrill..

Everyday is long, though time moves fast,

And moments stretched, tied to the past...

We speak of you in a humming prayer,

A hope, a wish, all hung in the air..

That all you face, be kind and clear,

Though afar, you feel but near...

This little one now fills my days,

With curious eyes and playful gaze..

In every smile, I see your grace,

Same cheerful smile in her face...

God knows how to bridge this space,

To show her joy in one embrace...

Until then, our hearts remain,

Half in delight, half wrapped in pain...

Ones we adore, slip away,

Unjust how the years unfold,

Light once bright, dimmed and lost,

We pay the price, at all cost..

In silence, as we stand alone,

In shadow of the life we've known..

World moves on, yet we grieve,

For all the dreams, we can't retrieve...

Pain inevitable, it will tear apart,

But a memory lives within the heart..

That even in the darkest night,

Remains, a steady light..

We long to speak, to feel them near,
